Terms of Service

Length of Booking: 

Please be sure to book enough time for your expected number of guests, as the artist is not always able to agree to extend a booking, due to other commitments. The artist can recommend the best length of time to book depending on number of guests and services being provided.

Reservation:

A non-refundable payment of 25% of the total booking cost is required to reserve your booking date and time. Sometimes multiple parties are interested in the same date and time, so please make this payment promptly to ensure your booking is secured. This may be paid by paypal, or mailed check. 

Payment:

The full balance for the services being provided may be paid in advance payment(s) by mailed check or Paypal, or at the beginning of the booking in cash or business check. 

Additional Fees: 

Travel fees may apply when a booking is outside of a 30 mile radius of Denver, PA. It is the responsibility of the client to reimburse any parking charges and admission fees the artist pays to get to/into the event to provide their services. 

Cancellations/Refunds: 

Client cancellations do not recieve a refund of the 25% reservation payment. Any payments made in addition to the 25% would be refunded, if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the event/booking. For cancellations due to severe, dangerous weather, there is a full refund.
If the artist were to have to cancel due to injury, illness, severe weather, act of God, etc., the client would be refunded a full refund or the artist would find a replacement artist of equal qualification. 

Set-Up Requirements

Access to restroom facilities, a minimum 5x5 space, and 10 minutes of set-up and take-down time before and after are required. Please ensure that there is adequate lighting and controled noise level in the painting space. It is important the artist can clearly see what they are doing and be able to communicate effectively with guests, for general safety and the best experience possible.
If Outdoors: The face painting set-up requires overhead shelter such as a canopy tent, awning, pavilion, roof, etc. The artist can provides a canopy tent for her workspace for an additional $10 cost. Please have an alternate indoor location ready in the event of inclement weather.

Designs

The artist provides a board or a book of designs offered. Fulfillment of any special-request design is at the sole discretion of the artist.

Adverse Working Conditions: 

The client agrees to provide the artist with a place to paint that is protected from extreme temperatures and other unpleasant weather conditions. If the event is held outdoors, the client is responsible for providing an alternate indoor location. The client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once the painter has arrived at the event location, rain or shine. 
The artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refund if there are extreme adverse working conditions, such as destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a person or animal; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.

Liability Statement:

The artist is not liable for allergic reactions to the face paints or latex balloons. People with allergies or sensitive skin should proceed with caution. Please consult the artist about the allergy or concern.
For safety reasons, the artist will not paint anyone who does not want to be painted or anyone who appears to have a contagious infection or illness. The artist will not paint on or near open wounds. These determinations are at the artist’s discretion. The artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. 
The artist is not responsible for the supervision of children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility.
